Overview:
This webinar is aimed at anyone interested in planning a programme of continuing professional development, such as teachers, Directors of Studies or Exams Officers.
In this webinar we will give an overview of the Cambridge English Teaching Framework and the research behind it. We’ll then demonstrate our new online Teacher Development Tracker - a self-assessment tool for teachers which can be used to develop profiles and identify skills gaps. We’ll look at ways of preparing a professional development plan for teachers and trainees and introduce a range of practical ideas and resources for supporting professional development.

Marie Therese Swabey
Marie Therese has been involved in English Language teaching for more than 30 years as a teacher and a teacher trainer. She has taught learners and teachers in the UK in both the private and state sector and she has worked overseas in Italy, West Africa and the United States. She has written materials for teachers and teacher trainers for Cambridge Assessment and Cambridge University Press and she is an item writer for TKT exams. She is a DELTA Assessor, a Joint Chief Assessor for CELTA and is Principal Assessor for TKT Practical.
Liz Robinson
Liz is part of the Teacher Development team at Cambridge English and has been closely involved in the development of the Teaching Framework. Before joining Cambridge English in 2010 Liz was a Senior International Officer at the University of Westminster, London. She is a CELTA qualified teacher who has worked as an English teacher in Italy, China and the UK. She has a degree in Psychology and a Masters in Marketing Management.
