Why did you choose to take C1 Advanced?

Having been made redundant at the tender age of fifty is hard to digest, to say the least. I'd been teaching English in a private school for four years, even prepared for the Cambridge English Starters tests with my eight-year-old students and here I was, sent to the longest queue in Spain. Then I started to look for a job and after a week of searching I found a full time job in a state-subsidised school. But why Cambridge and not any other institution? Some say that other exams are easier than C1 Advanced and you get to the same result the C1 level. I believe Cambridge English offers prestige and is well respected all over the world.

How do you think C1 Advanced will help you to achieve your goals?

I am confident that as soon as I've got my results I will find a job in any school.

What would you say to someone thinking about taking C1 Advanced?

I'd say 'Take the exam!' What do you have to lose if you are ready? There are plenty of materials to prepare for it, you can decide when and where to take it and it will make a real difference to your CV.
