Selected Cambridge English Preparation Centres from across Greece came together for two networking events in Athens. The events brought together 200 delegates from 140 official Cambridge English Preparation centres. It was a fantastic chance for Preparation Centres to meet the team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment and share their experiences of helping students prepare for the Cambridge English Qualifications.
Earlier in February Cambridge and British Council Greece welcomed selected Cambridge Preparation Centres to a networking event, followed by a similar event hosted by Cambridge and the Hellenic American Union the day after.
‘Cambridge English Preparation Centres play such a key role in helping Greek students reach their potential and get the best out of their English language learning journeys,’ commented Niki Nika Marketing Manager for Southern Europe at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. She continued: ‘It was fantastic to get so many Greek school directors and school owners together all with a common goal in mind. They’re part of a growing global community of more than 50,000 official Cambridge English Preparation Centres who help students to learn English and prove their skills to the world.’
At both the events Catherine Lloyd, Business Development Director for UKI & East Europe at Cambridge gave an overview of the work of Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Also presenting was Darren Perrett, Senior Assessment Services, Recognition and Pedagogy Manager who presented key insights into the performance of Greek candidates.
During the second event, there was also a signing ceremony to mark a new collaboration between Cambridge and HAU. The two organisations will work more closely together on a raft of English language initiatives including joint events, projects and ongoing programmes of research.
