Cambridge English exams including B1 Preliminary, B1 Linguaskill, B1 Business Preliminary and IELTS (band 4), are now recognised by the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam (MOET). The move means that High school students holding one of the recognised qualifications are now entitled to an exemption from the foreign language test, which they are expected to take in the 12th Grade High School Graduation exam.
‘It’s fantastic to get this level of recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training,’ commented Min Qu, Commercial Director, Northeast, Southeast Asia & Pacific at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. She continued: ‘The Cambridge English exams are designed to cover the real-life communications skills that students need for success. This means that high school students in Vietnam holding a Cambridge English B1 certificate will have the language skills they need to help them on their next step after graduation.’
The MOET joins a growing list of Ministries and other organisations around the world who rely on Cambridge English as proof of English language ability. This includes universities, employers and governments. Read the full list of organisations that recognise Cambridge English.
