Cambridge English Qualifications have a positive impact on teaching, learning, and student motivation around the world, according to a study. The study found that 95% of teachers and school leaders believed Cambridge English Qualifications improve their students’ English.
A team of experts from Cambridge English carried out the study. They compiled data from 5,789 teachers and school leaders in 109 countries. Their aim was to look at the impact of Cambridge English Qualifications from the point of view of teachers and school leaders around the world.
The study showed that that 95% of respondents agreed that preparing for Cambridge English Qualifications improves their students’ English. Other highlights included 86% saying that preparation for Cambridge English Qualifications gives their students greater confidence, and 90% agreed that it improves students’ motivation.
‘Our research showed that Cambridge English Qualifications have a significantly positive impact on learning and teaching around the world,’ said a spokesperson from Cambridge. They continued: ‘By focusing directly on the opinions of teachers and school leaders, it was possible to see the difference we were making in areas such as student motivation and confidence, which was really encouraging. It was also fantastic to hear that teachers were seeing a positive impact on their work too as they felt the Cambridge English Qualifications were well structured and fully supported.’
Most respondents who took part agreed that the Cambridge English Qualifications improve teaching standards and provide a clear curriculum to follow, with well-structured milestones and lots of support material for teachers. In fact three quarters of teachers and school leaders said the Cambridge English Qualifications are easy to implement and there that there are lots of support materials available to teach the exams.
