The University of Waterloo in Ontario is the latest major institution in Canada to recognise Cambridge English Qualifications. This means that students who want study at any English speaking undergraduate university in Canada can now demonstrate their level of English with C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency.
The Cambridge English Qualifications embody the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) extremely closely. Cambridge has been involved in the development of this standard since it was first conceived, and an extensive programme of research and validation ensures that the exams are precisely aligned to it.
C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency are uniquely designed to prove English learning achievements. C1 Advanced shows individuals have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for. Applicants with C1 Advanced are best placed to make the most of their university experience and have the right skills to thrive academically and socially. C2 Proficiency is the highest-level qualification from Cambridge Assessment English that shows individuals have mastered English to an exceptional level.
