The Cambridge English Qualifications have once again achieved the ALTE-Q Mark – a prestigious stamp of approval for assessment quality awarded by the Association of Language Testers in Europe (ALTE).
Following a rigorous audit in 2023 the Cambridge English Qualifications met the core requirements of 17 strict quality standards set out by ALTE’s quality management framework. These look at a range of different areas including consistent standards of quality and excellence in exams. This is the fourth time that the Cambridge English exams have achieved the ALTE-Q Mark.
‘It’s a real badge of honour to receive the ALTE-Q mark,’ commented Lynne Stevenson, Head of Assessment, Assessment Services at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. She continued: ‘At Cambridge we pride ourselves on helping people to develop the key English language skills they need for success, but this comes with a big responsibility in terms of test quality. The ALTE Q mark is a real achievement for Cambridge University Press & Assessment, and it reflects our commitment to high standards and robust quality management systems.’
ALTE is an association of language test providers who work together to promote the fair and accurate assessment of linguistic ability across Europe and beyond. The Cambridge English exams that met the criteria are:
- A2 Key (for Schools),
- B1 Preliminary (for Schools),
- B2 First (for Schools),
- C1 Advanced, and
- C2 Proficiency.
