Harvard University has confirmed that students who have taken a C1 Advanced or a C2 Proficiency qualification can now submit their scores when applying for a place on undergraduate programmes at Harvard College.
They join the list of hundreds of universities and colleges across the US that accept the high level qualifications developed by Cambridge Assessment English as proof of English language ability.
Other new names to join the list include Williams University – the #1 ranked Liberal Arts College, the University of Missouri, Syracuse University, University of Mississippi, Babson College, and Wellesley College, the top ranked Women’s College.
Milena Mareva, Associate Director of Admission at Wellesley College, commented
“Widely recognised for their rigor and reliability, the C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency tests are great options for students seeking to demonstrate their English proficiency. Wellesley College expects students to actively engage with complex reading, writing, and class discussion in English from the start of their undergraduate experience. Presenting strong scores from the C1 Advanced, C2 Proficiency, or several other English proficiency tests, enhances the competitiveness of applicants for admission whose native language is not English.”
