Cambridge Assessment English’s cutting-edge English test for corporates, schools and universities and other organisations has been launched in China. Linguaskill is an online English test developed by experts that uses artificial intelligence capabilities to make sure that test content is tailored to a candidate’s individual performance. It also includes a high-tech auto marking feature.
Linguaskill will offer organisations in China a quick and convenient online way of checking the English language levels of individuals and groups of candidates. Experts in Cambridge say the results can be used to help HR professionals in China make important decisions on recruitment, promotion and training. Results can also be used by schools and universities to check English language levels for course placement, progress measurement and graduation. Linguaskill uses the latest cutting-edge artificial intelligence, to provide an accurate assessment of English language skills. Results are available within 48 hours. Results are in line with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which is the international standard for describing language ability. Since it was launched the test has already been adopted by big names around the world including Air France and by banks across Europe, Russia and Egypt.

Linguaskill has been trialled by speakers of over 40 languages from 50 countries to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results. Two test options will be offered in China, which are Linguaskill General and Linguaskill Business. The test can be administered at any time and at any venue – all that is needed is a computer, an internet connection, a microphone and a set of headphones.
