A short film series, featuring inspiring English language teachers from around the world, has won its second award in a matter of months. The global film was produced by experts at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in collaboration with the creative agency Somersault. The Schools “Where your world grows” campaign picked up a Silver at this year’s Digital Impact Awards in the ‘Best Use of Digital from the Education Sector’ category. The award ceremony took place at London’s Hilton, Bankside, with an attendance of over 300 people.
The project was a major international collaboration, with filming carried out on location in seven different countries before being sent to the UK for post-production. The award-winning film is part of a series, featuring teachers from Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Romania, Spain and Türkiye. The judges described the film as having had a "really strong narrative campaign" and "slick production of the storytelling".
The Digital Impact Awards highlight exceptional achievements in corporate digital communications. With entrants from around the world, this year’s event set a new industry standard, presenting a broad spectrum of innovative and impactful approaches to digital communications in an increasingly dynamic landscape.
It’s not the first award!
Back in August, the film series won Gold at this year’s EVCOM (Event & Visual Communication Association) Clarion Awards in the Celebratory category. In a press release Jamie Garrett from Somersault shared his excitement, stating that the unique approach to producing the Global Schools film had been “the most rewarding project of our partnership to date.” He added, “The passion, dedication, and trust of the Cambridge team in collaborating with us across various countries and time zones to share the stories of such inspiring individuals has given us career-defining memories. This award is a testament to the team’s hard work over the past 18 months.”
