A short film, featuring inspiring English language teachers from seven countries, has won this year’s EVCOM (Event & Visual Communication Association) Clarion award in the celebratory category. The film was produced by experts at Cambridge University Press & Assessment in collaboration with the creative agency Somersault.
The team behind the award-winning film celebrate in London!
The short film gives a glimpse into the work of English teachers from Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, Romania, Spain and Türkiye. It shows what English means to teachers, their students and their communities. Speaking at the awards ceremony in London Chris Hughes, Marketing Director from Cambridge University Press & Assessment said:
‘At Cambridge we're committed to supporting English teaching communities all over the world, so it's fantastic to get this level of recognition. English teachers play such an important role in helping people to learn English and prove their skills to the world. They give their students the confidence and skills they need to live, work and study in English-speaking environments. The video was an opportunity for us to acknowledge both the importance of English in today's world and to celebrate the work of English teachers.’
The project was a huge global collaboration with film being shot locally in seven countries and then sent back to the UK for post production.
