Abstract:
In this webinar we will look at how to make learning more motivating and more memorable through a mix of engaging classroom materials, reliable assessment, and personalised online practice, with examples taken from Cambridge English Empower.
Cambridge English Empower is a new, six-level general English course for adults which integrates regular, reliable assessment and classroom learning to ensure that students make consistent and measurable progress.

Stephanie Dimond-Bayir, Cambridge English Consultant
Stephanie is a teacher and teacher trainer/educator who has extensive experience both in the UK and overseas. She is a CELTA and DELTA trainer and also provides teacher development courses and workshops around the world. Stephanie currently works as a lecturer and Interim Assistant Director of the Language Unit at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, where she teaches EAP and modules on the TESOL master's programme. As a freelance writer, she is author of various online teacher training programmes and print books, including Unlock Speaking and Listening A2 level. Stephanie has a MEd in Educational Research from Cambridge University. Her main professional interests are teacher training and development, materials development, exploitation of resources and CLIL.
Sarah Unsworth, Assessment Group Manager, Cambridge English
Sarah is an Assessment Group Manager at Cambridge Assessment English working on a new Learning Oriented Assessment product that includes the integration of course material and on-line assessment. She has extensive EFL experience in teacher training, materials development and in teaching business and general English to adults. She has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Modern Languages and ESOL.
