DELTA

DELTA can be taken as a face-to-face, blended-learning, or distance course. You learn at your own pace, and the practical elements can be completed in your own workplace.

Before contacting your centre, please check you meet the following criteria:

• Is your English good enough to teach at a range of levels? You should have a minimum CEFR Level of high C1.
• Do you have at least one year’s experience of teaching English?
• Do you have an initial English language teaching qualification, such as CELTA?

Centres may still accept you on to a DELTA course without an existing teaching qualification if you can demonstrate that you would be likely to complete a course successfully, for example by giving evidence of previous successful study.

Face-to-face and blended learning courses

You can prepare independently for DELTA Modules One and Three, or you can take a preparation course at an approved centre. Module Two requires that you take a course with an approved centre so that your teaching can be supported and assessed.
