Our English-language partnership with PISA

PISA - the Programme for International Student Assessment - is a worldwide study carried out every three years which measures 15-year-old school pupils' performance in key subjects. With more than 600,000 students taking part in over 80 countries and economies, it makes it the world’s largest comparison of educational outcomes.

In partnership with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), we are developing an assessment of English as a foreign language, which will be added to the PISA evaluation in 2025. It will give the world unprecedented insights into the effectiveness of English language teaching and learning.

We are a natural partner for the OECD as we bring a unique combination of assessment expertise, research capability and extensive portfolio of international benchmarking tools. We are closing skills gaps and shaping the future of English language teaching with the most up-to-date insights from around the globe.
