A new version of Linguaskill is being introduced which will include a range of new features and benefits. During this upgrade, please take extra care to ensure that you use the practice materials designed for the right version of the exam you intend to take. Read more about the changes to Linguaskill.
Results for Linguaskill are provided within 3–5 working days of taking the test.
Linguaskill results are presented as a certificate for candidates.
Candidates receive a certificate with in-depth reporting on the modules they’ve taken, plus an average score across the exam. If a candidate is marked below Level B1 on the CEFR in any module of the exam, a score will not be reported, but instead the wording ‘Below B1’.
Group reports are available for organisations to view results of group cohorts of candidates. These results can be downloaded as a spreadsheet for analysis.
Linguaskill’s ‘My best score’ is designed to help candidates improve their test score in one module, without having to retake the full exam. They can retake that part of the test again, within 6 months, without having to take the other three skills.
The candidate’s best score will always be the result recorded on their certificate.
There is no expiry date for a Linguaskill certificate. Organisations that accept Linguaskill as part of their admissions processes, recruitment policies or for other purposes can choose how recently the test must have been taken.
Linguaskill assesses English language ability from B1 to C2 on the CEFR:
