Your feedback in action…
We find all of your feedback and comments useful and these are reviewed at the end of each session. If you have any feedback you would like to make please contact us.
Feedback from centres and teachers is very valuable to the pretesting process, and we use this information to inform our decision-making at the review stage and for the construction of further materials.
This feedback, along with information on where the pretest was taken, and the detailed statistical analysis provided by the Research and Validation team, is passed onto members of the Assessment team, who are specialists at producing examination material. At a meeting, all of the information is scrutinised to ensure that material that is deemed suitable for use in a live examination is not only of the correct level and discriminates well between candidates of different abilities, but is also interesting and relevant to candidates.
The Pretesting process plays a large role in ensuring the continuing quality of Cambridge English examinations. More information is available in this Research Notes article (relevant information on p5-7).
